During the recent NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, customers spent an average of 87 seconds in Vivint Arena’s Zippin-powered, American Express-sponsored store, Shop at Vivint. Over the entire weekend, the average visit for customers — who must be AmEx cardholders — was just 96 seconds. Twenty percent of the products available for purchase in Shop at Vivint came from local vendors — supporting local businesses has been a focus of AmEx with these stores — while 50% of the products found in the Shop were exclusive to the space and couldn’t be found elsewhere in the arena. AmEx has a similar permanent store at Barclays Center and deployed pop-up versions during the 2021 and 2022 U.S. Open tennis championships.
