BLACKPINK LISA achieves her first Billboard Global Excl. U.S. No. 1 with ‘Rockstar’ | K-pop Movie News – Times of India

LISA, from the globally renowned K-pop group BLACKPINK, has scored her first No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with her single “Rockstar.” This achievement makes her the third BLACKPINK member to top the chart solo, joining Jennie and Rosé. BLACKPINK itself has notched three chart-toppers, making them the first group with three members achieving solo No.1s.
Two new songs have entered the Global Excl. U.S. top 10. Jimin and Loco’s “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” debuted at No. 7, while Karol G’s “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” jumped from No. 12 to No. 8.
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” returns to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 after a brief dip to No. 2, marking its second week at the top. LISA’s “Rockstar” made a strong entry at No. 4.
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, launched in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales from over 200 territories. They use a weighted formula incorporating streams from both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, along with download sales from digital music retailers.
LISA’s “Rockstar” climbed to No. 1 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 94.2 million streams and 44,000 sales outside the U.S. from June 28 to July 4. This makes LISA the third BLACKPINK member to achieve a solo No. 1, following Jennie’s “You & Me” and Rosé’s “On the Ground.”
