Coach Raisfeld Donates to ‘3-Pointers For Israel’ Fundraiser – Farmingdale State College

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | During the opening week of the 2023-24 men’s basketball season, FSC Associate Head Coach Steve Raisfeld participated in the ‘3-Pointers for Israel’ Fundraiser. The fundraiser encouraged college basketball coaches, alumni, fans, friends, etc. to donate on behalf of every 3-point field goal made during the first week of the season (for many this was Nov 6 – 13).
Steve donated $230 to the fundraiser with the men’s basketball team having 23 made 3-point field goals in their first three games.
The fundraiser was organized by the Jewish Coaches Association, a non-profit that supports Jewish-American college, high school and youth basketball coaches around the Nation. All donations raised went directly to Beit Halochem, the Friends of Israel’s Disabled Veterans.
The donations support Beit Halochem’s efforts in rehabilitating veterans in a variety of ways physically, mentally, & emotionally as they recover from injuries inflicted while protecting their country. One specific way that Beit Halochem helps veterans to recover is through sports.
