Colin Ramos Named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the Second Consecutive Week – Naval Academy Athletics

Football
ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy junior linebacker Colin Ramos earned American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after he helped Navy to its FBS-leading third shutout of the season, a 10-0 win against East Carolina.
Ramos registered his fourth straight game with double figure tackles as he had 10 stops and 1.5 tackles for a loss as the Mids held their opponent without a touchdown for the second straight game.
Ramos ranks second in The American in tackles per game with 8.8 per contest.
Navy (5-5) travels to #25 SMU (8-2) on Saturday for a 12-noon contest on ESPN2 and the Navy Radio Network. A win would make Navy bowl eligible for the first time since 2019. SMU, who along with Georgia are the only teams in the FBS ranked in the Top 15 in total offense, total defense, scoring offense and scoring defense, would clinch a spot in the AAC Championship game with a win over Navy.
