The German American Business Council of Michigan hosted a reception at the Detroit Athletic Club in downtown Detroit on Thursday, Nov. 16. Guest speakers offered their insights on the emerging field of artificial intelligence. Berta Rodriquez Hervas, vice president of AI operations for autonomous driving at Stellantis, gave a presentation titled, “How Artificial Intelligence influences all of our lives, what opportunities emerge, and what conflicts may arise with human interest.” Other speakers included Thomas Schuelke, president of Fraunhofer USA and a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Michigan State University; Dan Ricci, managing director for Deloitte Consulting in New York; and Arnd Herwig, vice president of engineering for Brose North America and chairman and president of the German American Business Council of Michigan. // Photographs by Lindsay Schweickert
