Long Beach Mass Shooting: Multiple Shot In New York, No Info On Suspect

A mass shooting in Long Beach, New York left at least eight injured on Saturday, local media outlets confirmed. Authorities have not released any information on the suspect. According to Long Beach Local News, police officers first discovered one victim, with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) immediately administered live-saving measures.

Within minutes, officers found more victims. The local media report adds that the LBPD said a second victim was unconscious and not breathing. The two were transported to the hospital. At around 11:38 PM local time, authorities declared the situation a level-one mass casualty event.

“Rescue units were mobilized to transport the injured to medical facilities, with Rescue 11 and Rescue 9 transporting the second and third victims,” the report added.

According to Long Beach Local News, a hospital, at around 11:44 PM, said that three additional patients had arrived, all suffering from gunshot wounds allegedly sustained at the scene.

“7 People Been Shot, with 1 DOA. The shooting took place at Prendido de Noche nightclub. LE onscene are requesting barricades to secure the crime scene, vehicles are breaching perimeter, almost hitting an officer,” one person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Just confirmed with Long Beach police that a mass shooting occurred on South Street just west of Paramount Boulevard. No details yet on the number of victims or their status. No suspect info. South Street is shut down in both directions,” another one added.
