LVAC Shooting Reports: Witnesses Say ‘Gunshots’ Fired Near Las Vegas Gym On Flamingo Road

A man has been taken into custody custody in connection with an “shooting incident” near the Las Vegas Athletic Club Wednesday afternoon. The incident reportedly took place in the 9600 block of W. Flamingo Road shortly after 1:30 p.m. According to Fox5, officers responded to the scene and found a male suspect in a car. They attempted to make contact with the man but he refused to get out of the vehicle. Subsequently, crisis negotiators and SWAT arrived at the scene. The man was eventually arrested. Additional details were not available at the moment.

Witnesses are reporting a shooting incident near the Las Vegas Athletic Clubs- Southwest on Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas. No injuries have been reported so far. The gym was temporarily placed on lockdown.

“Cops and helicopters everywhere, And so many gunshots were fired. The helicopter was talking through the mircophone. Whats going on,” one person wrote on Neighbors by Ring app.

Another person wrote on X, “Shooting at the LVAC I go to. I was on god gonna go right after work when it happened today thank God I didn’t.”

There is an increased police presence in the area following the incident.
