New Mexico: Vehicle Rams Into Savers Store In Las Cruces, Mass Casualty Incident Declared

A vehicle rammed through the wall of Savers in Las Cruces Tuesday, resulting in multiple injuries. A mass casualty incident was declared. Local media outlets reported that at least five people were carried out on stretchers. Pictures from the scene showed windows broken, shelves down on the floor and people panicking in the store.

According to a spokesperson with the city of Las Cruces, 15 people have been transported to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. The vehicle, as per several reports, drove through the entire store and is in the back of the building. The SUV crashed through a front glass wall. Police have blocked off the parking lot at 2340 N. Main Street.
