Sales software company e4enable bought by American global leader | TheBusinessDesk.com

Altrincham-based e4enable has been acquired by Richardson Sales Performance, the third American acquirer of a Greater Manchester software business in under a week.

Founded in 2018, e4enable describes itself as a sales enablement company with a product that helps sales teams to understand where to focus their time, resources, and efforts for maximum performance return.

In 2020 e4enable successfully raised seed funding from a number of private angel investors to support planned growth for 2 years and to accelerate a customer acquisition programme.

Richardson president John Elsey said e4enable’s “capabilities and technology” would help customers of Richardson’s to “deliver actionable insights to our customers on the performance of all of their revenue enablement initiatives.”

Though the price wasn’t disclosed, Richardson, based in Philadelphia, said the deal was done with the support of Richardson’s financial sponsor, Truelink, a private equity backer which targets companies in the industrials and tech-enabled services sectors. 

Last week Manchester-based AppLearn was acquired by Nexthink, and gym software Membr was snapped up by another US-headquartered group Xplor Technologies. 

The investors of e4enable include: Tony Bolland from Most Excellent Ventures, who is also a board director; Jonathan Fitchew, founder of Apprentify, Pareto Law, and Venn Digital; Charlie Sharland, founder of AppSense; experienced tech finance director Rachel Cunliffe; and Chris Lewis, a managing director at Canaccord Genuity’s European Technology Advisory team.
