TXT achieves milestones and amazes fans during epic U.S. leg of world tour | K-pop Movie News – Times of India

TXT, the rising K-pop sensation, wrapped up their North American leg of the ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR‘ on a high note. Starting in Tacoma on the 14th of last month (local time), the tour made stops in Oakland on the 18th, Los Angeles on the 21st-22nd, Houston on the 26th, Atlanta on the 29th, New York on June 1st-2nd, Rosemont on the 5th-6th, and Washington D.C.on the 8th. The tour drew in over 140,000 enthusiastic attendees, marking a resounding success for the group.
Historic Milestones in K-Pop
TXT made history by performing at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum and Houston’s Minute Maid Park, both firsts for K-pop. They also became the first K-pop act to sell out two shows at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, a venue renowned for hosting legends like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Taylor Swift.
Dynamic Performances
The group’s shows were a vibrant mix of high energy and diverse musical styles. They wowed fans with a Korean traditional music version of “Sugar Rush Ride” and rocked out with tracks like “Growing Pain” and “PUMA.” The unit performances featured contrasting styles, with Soobin and Yeonjun delivering “The KILLA (I belong to you),” and Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai performing “Quarter Life.” The English version of “Cat & Dog” also received a roaring response.
TXT paid tribute to local culture by covering snippets of classics like Sting’s “Englishman in New York” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” and donning jackets from local sports teams such as the New York Rangers and Chicago Bulls.
Heartfelt Gratitude
Expressing their appreciation, TXT members said, “We were truly happy to see everyone dancing and singing along to our songs. We realized once again that our happiness comes from MOA (our fandom). We will work harder to become artists that MOA can be proud of. Although we don’t visit the U.S. often, we promise to create unforgettable memories whenever we do.”
Next Stop: Japan
Following their North American triumph, TXT will continue their world tour in Japan this July, performing at major venues like Tokyo Dome, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome for the first time. Prior to this, they will join the ‘2024 Weverse Con Festival’ at Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on the 15th.
TXT’s North American tour not only broke records but also showcased their versatility and deep connection with fans, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the future.
