MyFitnessPal, a health and fitness tracking smartphone app and website, was down on Wednesday, Downdetector, a platform that reports online outages, showed. Several customers took to social media to complain, saying their application was not working.

“Have not been able to log into a paid subscription for days. Is there a refund process in place?” one person wrote on X.

Another complained, “I always feel for the IT staff when a site goes down, I know the pressure they’ll be under. Good luck MyFitnessPal IT guys!’

“Why is myfitnesspal tweaking right now. some of us have eds and are physically unable to eat unless we’ve logged in our meal first,” a third person expressed.

“Hi there and issues searching your database as well as adding my own recipes to my daily plan. Tried WiFi and 4g signal. Please advise. Paid subscription. Thanks,” another wrote.

“Searching to see if it was just me, but it was down yesterday for a brief moment also. Today same thing. Web version says 404 error. Some server issues going on or something!” another wrote on X.

Responding to the reports, the platform issued a statement, saying, “Today, April 17th, at 7am Pacific Time, MyFitnessPal will be performing routine maintenance that may cause some downtime on our end. We have since started the maintenance, which has caused issues with accessing the site and performing food searches within the apps.”

“We hope to have these issues fixed soon and will update this message once the maintenance is complete.”
